CrossFit Bearden offers our CrossFit Endurance track for anyone wishing to complete or compete in any Endurance races or events, or just simply improve running form and ability. In order to establish the best programming possible for each individual we assess the following:

    1.    Who are you as an athlete?

    2.    What is your commitment level (time, nutrition etc)?

    3.    What is your primary goal?

 

Once we have these baselines we can build a CrossFit Endurance program around you. 

However, regardless of the goal, all endurance athletes need to execute 4-6 regular CrossFit WOD’s per week.

CrossFit is the foundation upon what we build our endurance plan upon.

Onto this, we add the following:

Single Sport Endurance: 

2-3 Endurance workouts per week

One Short Interval

One Long Interval

One Tempo/Time Trial

Multi Sport Endurance:

1-2 Endurance workouts per sport, per week

One Short Interval

One Long Interval or Tempo/Time Trial

What is CrossFit Endurance (CFE)?

CrossFit Endurance is an endurance sports training program dedicated to improving performance, fitness, and endurance sports potential. The focus is on eliminating unnecessary volume of training while increasing intensity.

With careful planning, our strength and conditioning plan increases these two mainstays of performance while decreasing recovery time, reducing injury, promoting preservation of lean tissue and creating a more sustainable performance curve.

Whether you plan on running a 5k, an ultra-marathon, a triathlon, or just want to get a better endurance base for CrossFit, our endurance program can help you.

Our program will build power and speed through the development of midline stabilization and it will help you become more efficient in the endurance field.

As with any other movement in CrossFit (or everyday life), running is a skill that must be practiced. While running may have been something we have all done at some point in our lives, it does not necessarily mean that we have been doing it to the best of our abilities.
